## Advisor Style & Mentorship Very poor mentorship. Doesn't know how to mentor people. Let postdocs do experiments for students and doesn't like students doing "complicated " experiments and "wasting money and time".
## Expectations for PhD Students Expect students to do everything; doesn't like them taking classes; prefer students working in the lab all the time. Notice that his "working" doesn't include reading papers and going to seminars, but only bench work.
## Funding & Support Bad. Often have funding shortage.
## Research not easy to accept new nethods or new knowledge. Keep doing the strategy that he did when he was a postdoc, around 20 years ago.
## Lab Culture Very bad. His wife is a monster and considers herself as the queen of the lab. Micromanagement for everything. Never listen to others opinion and set everything, all the instruments, to a "best condition", then forbiddon any changes. Speaking ill of lab member A to member B, then speak ill of B to A next day.

No, I don't recommend this PI.
